Products and Substrates - Banners
Taping is the process of hemming a banner with an industrial double-sided tape on the edges of a banner to create a strong and pleasing finished edge.
Sewn hemming is similar to taping in that it creates a finished edge, but it does so by sewing the edges. It is stronger than taping. As of now we only offer this on spot color banners.
Grommeting is the process of placing grommets (brass rings) into the sides and corners of the banner. This provides a strong place to tie your banner with. We place grommets every 24 inches.
Pole Pockets allow for rigid poles to be inserted along the edges of the banner. This allows for a more even distribution of the banner's weight to prevent sagging.
These banners usually come on a 13oz or 15oz vinyl material. We then use a wide format inkjet printer to create a full digital image. The banner is then taped and grommeted.
For this type of banner we use cut vinyl. Our vinyl comes in dozens of colors and is usually good for most basic banners. We usually use a roll of banner material which we tape and grommet. We can use a 10oz indoor/outdoor material or a heavy duty 13oz material. These can also be ordered as pre-made sizes that are hemmed and grommeted. These banners are usually white or yellow but can also come in many other colors.
